Our Mission

The mission of On Common Ground (OCG) is to improve the lives of individuals who are experiencing economic, social and/or familial poverty in the greater Attleboro area by fostering and encouraging the active involvement of the local community in 1 : 1 relationships with them.  The core values of the organization are expressed through voluntary relationships, mentoring, role modeling, social opportunities, life – skills education, friendship, resource information/referrals, organizational partnerships.  With the understanding that the condition of any one life will affect the lives of the whole community, it is the desire of the organization to improve the quality of life for all through a “principle of connectedness” to one another that crosses the boundaries of generation, ethnicity, creed, social status, and capabilities.

A Thank-You

On Common Ground is grateful to the following foundations and grantors for their support and belief in our ability and the community to help alleviate poverty one person, one story at a time: Bank of America N.A. Trustee, The Frederick E. Weber Charities Corporation, The Lenny Zakim Fund, Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation, Marion L. Decrow Memorial Foundation,   The Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Charitable Foundation, and United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton, Inc.
